Thanks to James Ronald Archer (yes, indeed a true relative of Colin Archer) chairman of the Society Larvik Maritime Museum and Gro Stalsberg of the Vestfoldmuseene, Larvik Museum, we now have copies of the original plans of the Léon. As we already suspected, Archer’s lines are (of course) much more harmonious and balanced than the adapted plans of Underhill’s Plank-on-Frame Models suggested. Now it’s time to digitise and analyse with the MAXSURF software.
