A holiday on our LRV is not only an excellent way to enjoy the last real freedom on our planet, it is also a direct help for the oceans! You can simply relax, dive as much as you like, help with the sails and if you feel like it, take part in a clean-up or explore a wreck. You don’t have to have any previous experience and you can learn everything you want to know about navigation, sailing, diving and marine conservation in general on board and throughout the year. If you’re feeling daring, you can also work on the boats and ships in the shipyard. We have double and twin cabins with WC/shower for you. These fit in beautifully with the rest of the ship: rock solid, strong, high quality and very comfortable with plenty of space for all your personal belongings, but as usual for a working ship without any frills. In every cabin there is a large monitor/TV with which you can call up and process extensive information about navigation, dive sites, wrecks, clean-ups, etc. via the ship’s information system, and which also gives you access to a wide selection of films and music. Broadband internet is also available via the ship’s LAN.

Periods can be chosen freely and according to availability (e.g. one week every year, 3 weeks at a time, etc.). Packages are transferable to other members without restrictions.

Pricing

We are an association that does not want to make money from its co-creators (members), but wants to contribute to marine conservation together with them (learn more: Guiding principles). Therefore, all services we provide are not profit-oriented, but always calculated at cost price. Of course, this also applies to all services that are not included in the package, such as food and beverages (see: Ships Board Cash Box), consumables, your journey to the ship, diving insurance, etc. and also goods via the Tax-Free-Shop (since we are a buying syndicate, you not only save the VAT but also benefit from a sometimes considerable quantity discount. In the case of diving equipment, this is usually half of what you would have to pay in a dive shop). In a word: we are all about marine conservation and not about profit!

Clean-ups are often sponsored by breweries and similar companies. In these cases, there is of course free beer for everyone 😉 (of course, as soon as the ship is at anchor and no-one is still climbing around in the rigging – safety first!)
